Music Angels Education Fund is a 501(c) non-profit organization devoted to making a difference in Indian River County by providing private music lessons to children, aged 4-17 years old, who might not otherwise have access to them due to financial limitations. 

 

Founded by Ms. Linda Sposato, we award select students with scholarships for music lessons, allowing them to enrich their lives by studying under the tutelage of a music teacher at a reduced cost.  In some cases, Music Angels will also provide the child with an instrument.

 

Music is not just an art.  It nourishes a child’s mind, body and spirit, enhances their fine motor skills, increases their ability to focus, cultivates thinking skills, creates a sense of accomplishment and boosts their self-confidence.  Playing in a group teaches them teamwork, patience and leadership skills. Music instruction has been shown to improve a child’s memory, focus and communication abilities which leads to improved academic outcomes.  And mastering an instrument makes a child’s confidence soar!
